The pumping shafts of Zagožen are intended for pumping waste water from a lower level to a higher level of a sewage network, treatment plant or septic tank.
The pump sump consists of a submersible pump and a level switch and operates automatically.
The waste water flows through the supply pipe in the lower part of the manhole. When the level of waste water reaches a certain level, the pump turns on by itself and turns off automatically when the minimum level is reached.
